From this bill. Translation: Bush (and his administration) cannot be tried for anything they did to detainees after September 11, 2001. Wave bye bye to the Geneva Conventions, right out the window. Please, can we throw him out of office now? Do I need to send in a secret operative to seduce him so we can impeach him on moral grounds? That’s the only thing that seems to work in this country.

Adam pretty much nailed it right on the head. The Bush administration, both term 1 and term 2, will always and forever be known as the swept-under-the-rug-administration. What will it take for American's to stand up and say "You will be held accountable for every underhanded/illegal thing you do?" As an American, I am disgusted and ashamed. As a human being, I am saddened. How many more lives (foreign and domestic) will be lost during Bush's reign? How many eyes will continue to be closed to his Devilish ways? Let us pray...

Given that Bush's incompetence and ineptness hasn't offended more folks' moral sensibilities already, I think he'd have to sleep with a black, gay, Democrat underage boy to have any outrage generated.

In other words, sorry, the American public is a lost cause in this context. I mean, look, millions of folks voted for him... TWICE. Need I say more? :o
